How to Implement ISO 17840 in Your Country

At Energy Safety International, we believe in one global safety language for the energy transition. The international standard ISO 17840 defines how crucial rescue information should be prepared by manufacturers so that first and second responders (such as the fire brigade, police, medical services, and towing companies) have immediate access to uniform data during vehicle incidents, allowing them to operate swiftly and safely.

Together with ERSI USA, we are actively promoting the worldwide implementation of this standard for passenger cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles, buses, and coaches. Furthermore, we are working to extend the reach of ISO 17840 to other critical, non-road applications, including maritime, motorsport, and aviation sectors.
